KATE VARLEY
, manager of the Candlelight Carolers (and soprano), completed a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from The University of Colorado. An extremely versatile singer, Kate has performed lead roles in musical theater, operetta, and opera.  She teaches voice lessons in her home studio in Coopersburg.  Kate enjoys the Christmas season when she can harmonize with her quartet and spread some holiday cheer.

 

DENNIS VARLEY (bass) holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from The University of Colorado.  He earned both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Nebraska. Dennis Varley is Associate Professor of Music at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The Varley’s CD recording, Irish Country Airs, received rave reviews from the American Record Guide.

 

LlSA RAZZE (alto) grew up in Gulfport, MS, and earned a degree in music education from Southern Methodist University focusing on piano and flute. Over the years, she has shared the spotlight with a variety of groups, including the NYC Seaport Singing Tree Carolers, the choir of St. Patrick Cathedral, the Bucks County Playhouse, as well as singing cabaret backup. She most recently debuted her one-woman cabaret show ANYWAY performing at Don’t Tell Mama in New York City. Lisa promises to be both engaging and fun and is proud to be included in the Candlelight Carolers.

 

MICHAEL TRAUPMAN (tenor) is a Lehigh Valley native who has steadily worked in local theatre, in cabaret and on the concert stage. He made his solo cabaret debut at Odette’s in New Hope and has appeared throughout the region as a solo performer and guest artist at venues including Don’t Tell Mama, The Iridium Jazz Club and The Triad (all in New York City).   He performs with “The Lullaby of Broadway Review,” “Four on the Floor” and “The Swing Time Trio;” has appeared with cabaret legend Margaret Whiting; and sang with the vocal trio, Swing City Central. By day, Michael is Managing Director of Civic Theatre of Allentown.
